They closed a crossover to add stalls
Head count fit. The timid half walked a dead-end alley.
ShareThey closed a crossover to add stalls
A remodel added a row of stalls by walling off a crossover. The stall-to-cow sheet improved. Night video showed a pile at the remaining crossing and empty beds on the far side.
Dairyland would call that a flow failure wearing a stocking costume. Lying time fell on the cows who would not walk the gauntlet. Lameness and residual feed rose together.
They cut a gate back into the crossover. Stall count dropped by six. Night lying rose. The expansion math had been counting steel, not steps.
A stall she will not walk to is not a stall.
